  My wife and I were looking for a quick 2-night getaway that had Lake Michigan beach access and decided to try Sleepy Hollow. We were very pleased with accommodations; clean & quiet, and the property overall was beautiful with easy access to a wonderful beach (85 easy steps with rest stops on the way) and a gorgeous, sparkling clean Olympic-sized pool. The property is only minutes from downtown shopping and dining, and is not far from nearby wineries. We had a great time relaxing and look forward to returning again in the future.

  The resort is lovely. It did smell of mold when I first entered. It cleared up when I put the a/c on. One of my problems was the temperature of the water for showers. It was cool, not warm. They tried to fix it but it was cool. Not good for showers. I wanted to clean up and there were no vacuum cleaner bags. But overall I had a wonderful time and would stay at Sleepy Hollow again. Extremely peaceful!

  It was a great first visit. We were disappointed that the pool wasn't functioning for half of our stay. And we had our crew all set for your tennis pro on Thursday, but he was needed at the wading pool? Our unit had sporadic hot water in the shower and door lock issues. But your property is lovely and a wonderful place for families. A hidden gem... We hope to be back!

  The rental is absolutely perfect! Very clean, cozy, well stocked, and fast internet. The laundry room in the basement is handy. The property is a quiet, safe, very well-kept, and great location. Eighty-seven steps are required to reach the private beach because the slopes have a steep shoreline. Lounge chairs are provided to enjoy the sun and sand, and unbeatable views! The pool, playground equipment, pingpong table, tennis, and basketball courts, and bikes are all on the property. I highly recommend the Sleepy Hollow Beach Resort.

  We loved the resort with very nice amenities and beach. The unit we stayed in lacked much and closet was stocked on the floor with excess bedding so very little closet space to hang clothes. Also, kitchen supplies were minimal. And who needs 13 bed pillows. With a little help this unit could be very nice.

  We love sleepy hollow resort. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Beach, pool and tennis courts are a big plus for us. The unit has a nice covered patio and nice floor plan. But the kitchen is poorly stocked and the furniture is garage sale odds and ends. The patio furniture is very dilapidated. Only two of the four chairs are usable. Too bad because it could be a great small unit with some care.

  This rental location was great! Only about a 5 minute drive from the town and wineries that we wanted to visit. Only about a 2 minute walk to the lake, and the sunsets were beautiful! The actual place was very clean and a perfect size. Would definitely go back!

  We had never been to Sleepy Hollow Beach Resort before. We booked Gateway 49 and had no idea what to expect once we arrived (other than beautiful pictures from the website). My wife and I couldn't have been happier! We were looking for a quiet place to unwind from a hectic year. Mission accomplished! We immediately fell in love with both Gateway 49 and the entire resort.   We were here for a family reunion. The beach access and pool were wonderful. The patio furniture at our unit was old and in need of replacing. The bedroom closet was not able to be used because it was full of linens and the pantry was also in need of cleaning and organization. The kitchen cabinets were also in a bit of disarray and could use some organization.

  We had a great stay. The condo was comfortable and had most of the items we expected. Amenities on the grounds were nice but most of the bikes were in disrepair, and the pool closed at 2pm during a gorgeous weekend, none of which were deal breakers. We'll definitely come back.

  Very friendly staff. Lots of things to do for everyone. We love the beach and pool. Played tennis almost every day with the children and grand children. Some dishes were not very clean but the unit was clean and efficient. We would definitely go there again.

  We vacationed in Sleepy Hollow 30 years ago when our girls were young. Our family moved to California 21 years ago. Our oldest daughter now with two young daughters wanted to return to Sleepy Hollow for a family vacation. Though the buildings have been remodeled Sleepy Hollow has retained its magic. We went swimming in Lake Michigan everyday, sometimes twice, we used the pools, the bikes, the playground, enjoyed our housing and walking around the complex. There is nowhere like Sleepy Hollow we still love it & now so do our granddaughters.

  I have been going to Sleepy Hollow since I was kid, over 60 years ago.Took my kids there, andnow the grandkids. Alwys a wonderful experience. Updated residences, but still the same charm. A wonderful natural playground for all without all the fake tinsel of theme parks.

  We had a wonderful week. The six year old had a blast, but the two teens, not so much. We ended up leaving the premises to go canoeing,atving, sand dunes, etc We stayed in 49, but our children and grandchildren stayed in #33. It was much better equipped.
  We would come back in a minute, but the teens were not so thrilled.
  Sleepy Hollow was wonderful. The staff, Jeff and Jackie were very very nice and accommodating.

  This was our 2nd year staying @ Sleep Hollow Resort and we stayed in the same unit (49). I love the location of the unit - it is close to the office, gate and the designated parking space. It has a comfortable layout. The location of the resort is also perfect. 2 miles from downtown South Haven allows you to walk or bike if you do not want to deal with parking. The amenities at the Resort allow you to leave a lot of stuff at home, i.e, bikes, sporting equipment, beach chairs, etc. The staff really go all out to help you have a carefree vacation.

  Booking was easy. Location was easy to find. Evening office staff seemed a little less knowledgeable about the Resort (i.e. we were told our unit didn't have a washer & dryer on arrival). The Maintenance and Housekeeping staff were wonderful. Every request was taken care of rapidly. The facilities and activities where great. Only on the last day did I have any complaint (which I didn't report as there was nothing to do about it) is that the condo above us apparently has wooden floors and the noise from little feet and toys with wheels where very disturbing. I'm sure I couldn't have taken that for an entire week. Otherwise, it was just wonderful. It was everything we hoped for in a vacation package.
