  Great place for a family reunion with cottages of various sizes, a nice pool, badminton / ping pong / tetherball, and easy beach access. Loved the art deco architecture. The couch in our unit needs to be repaired or replaced - the fold out bed is missing springs.

  Our time at Sleepy Hollow was really great and overall the resort did a great job making our vacation memorable and fun! The only feedback I have is that our unit just needs a few updates. Overall it was very nice but our friends stayed in the attached unit which had been updated so the differences were more apparent. Again we really had a great time and the unit was still nice.

  Sleepy Hollow is a great small resort that looks like the perfect place for a quick summer vacation. We spent a weekend as we had a football game on that side of the state in the fall. The weather was horrible, but the trip was great. We had a stormy beach to walk along, a fire place for warming our toes, and all of the necessary kitchen gadgets to make a few meals. The only reason we will not give it a 5 is the floors were not very clean. Besides sand which is a given at the beach, you could tell they had not been scrubbed with soap and water before our stay.

  5 of us shared 14B for three nights. It was the third time two had shared that cottage. They noticed it has not been very well maintained. The shower curtains were quite dirty, We had to wash the dishes before we could use them. We had to borrow glasses from the kitchen because there were so few in 14B. The sliding door lock mechanism broke. On the plus side, it is a very light and pleasant cottage.

  Sleepy hollow is marvelous and we always have a wonderful wonderful time! 14 B did not have the nicest/newest trimmings or appliances and he deck is in the sun in the evening so it is hard to eat outdoors. The staff on the property has all turned over which is too bad. The art projects continue to be great for the kids though the counselors canceled the Friday night beach party for no good reason. The lake is glruous and there is plenty of space in spite of the smaller beach (due to water levels).

  The furnishings in 14B are old and make the place look like you are staying in a garage sale. I didn't find it comfortable. The mattresses were OK but I don't think the one in the master was a queen, it was SO small. The kitchen is outdated and everything is mismatched. The didn't even have butter knives. I feel like the owners must never stay here because there was nothing nice in the condo.

  We have stayed in SH before and always had a lovely time. SH still delivered a beautiful outdoor experience with the kids activities, beach, pool, bond fires, sandcastles and new friends. I would compliment the cleaning staff for a clean floor, bathrooms and kitchen countertops. Some areas were a little dusty such as around the TV cabinet. However, I would never recommend our unit, 14B, to anyone. First, the kitchen cabinets were terribly arranged. We couldn't even place food items in them when we arrived because they were so disorganized. We rearranged them ourselves. There were several missing items: cutting board, wine glasses, adequate cereal bowels (weren't enough), adequate glassware(weren't enough), the right type of coffee filters, junky drawers(couldn't find items), junky cabinets(pots and pans overloaded the lazy Susan). The storage closet next to the hall bathroom is such a disaster, I was embarrassed for the owner. There was little organization, someone's old shoes thrown on the floor, and junk piled up on each shelf of this closet. Next, the mattress in the master was so uncomfortable my husband and I still have sore backs three days later after sleeping on it for a week. It was awful. In the mornings we were so sore from such a bad mattress we didn't even want to continue sleeping because pain woke us up. We were aching to get out of that bed! The furniture appointments were worn and old, especially the two side chairs in the sitting area around the TV. There was no outdoor seating for the back porch. Finally we had a raccoon breaking into our trash almost every night. We cleaned up trash everyday from the porch. I hope the owners of 14B can fix these issues so future guests aren't as uncomfortable as we were. If it is the only unit available next year, we will not stay at SH.

  We stayed there with our two kids in August and hade a great time. The "resort" is wonderful - quiet, well-kept and clean and has a private access to the beach. At the beach you can perfectly relax because there are hardly any people. In the resort you can relax at the pool and use several public games. A very nice and safe athmosphere.The houses are very neat and clean. The equipment and furniture in our house was simple but asbolsutely fine. It was nice to sit on the front porch in the evenings and to have a barbeque. I can abolutely recomend it, although the rent was quite expensive ( compared to prices in Europe for the same standard).

  Sleepy Hollow is one of the best vacation spots we've ever been to. The grounds are perfect for relaxing, and our children love it. The beach is wonderful, but this year it was not as clean as years past. We still enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean, but some of the linens were a little worn. They could do with replacement. This was our fourth year at Sleepy Hollow, and we plan to return for many more years!

  The cottage had everything in it. We could barbeque, walk to the beautiful private beavh, enjoyed the swimming pool, played badminton, kids enjoyed arts and crafts.
